Since 2006, a small group of volunteers has been building classrooms, drilling wells, and fostering lasting livelihoods for orphaned children in Epworth, Zimbabwe — funded entirely by people who care.

Impact timeline

From classes on the ground to a thriving campus.

Two decades of patient, donor-funded progress — built one project at a time, alongside the community we serve. Classrooms, teachers, desks, chairs, uniforms, shade, clean water, and most crucially — hope.

2006 — classes on the ground 2006

Discovering The Maulana School

Informal classes were initially held outdoors on the ground, by volunteers in the community.

First Classrooms Built

Sahwira funded construction begins on the first 2 classrooms. Children move off the ground for the first time!

2014 — campus expansion 2012 to Present

Campus Expands

More classrooms added. Desks, chairs, and uniforms provided. Trees get planted.
